global warming Empty global warming

Post by SoccerDude Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:05 pm

Is it true? The globe is getting hot? Well, personally I believe that global warming is a plot to make a few Americans very rich and famous. As we all know, the average global temperature has fluxuated throughout time and that this is not a first. So how do we know that the globe is actually getting hot???? Especially when places like Florida have seen a temperature drop!!!

Is the government feeding the media lies?
Is this a scam?
Is it even true? Grossed

Well, global warming isn't the earth warming up, its deterioration of the O-Zone layer.
Also, I believe it's there, but it's the result of our stupidity and unability to change to a less fat world.
Have you noticed that global warming is only a concern in USA?

True. I have no heard any other countries complaining about how their countries are getting hot. Maybe it is just all the cows farting. (that was a theory lol.)
Also, if the O-Zone layer is deteriorating, wouldn't that lessen the heat? Because then there would be no Greenhouse Effect?

The northern-most countries like Canada, Greenland, etcetera are losing ice, they say. But we (normal people) don't really know what happens in the other countries where the change isn't geographically obvious, since we aren't there.
The ozone layer deteriorating doesn't stop the greenhouse effect, you would still have Carbon Dioxide absorbing and trapping heat, and you would get really, really bad sunburn wherever you went.
My thoughts on the theory of global warming are that it may be happening, but it isn't all our fault. It's natural, but we certainly aren't helping it by spewing crap into the air, either.

Thats what my mom says. That is a natural reoccuring sequence that cannot be stopped by man. (The only way it has ever been changed was when a massive volcano erupted dropping global temps)

I really don't think it's true. The media feeds multiple lies through and the temperature is just going erratic. We can't see the O-Zone layer, so how do we know? It's true we need to figure out some different energy sources, but it isn't something we should panic about right now.

But we have found evidence that it has been this hot before. A place I used to live in was a beach thousands of years ago. This proves at some point that the ice caps had melted and then refrozen. So it is not just our factories.
